Cannes Film Festival - Robsten
Inspiring Creativity is at the heart of Cannes Lions. The Festival is
where creative professionals come to debate, learn and be inspired;
where the greatest industry honours are bestowed; where those pushing
creative communications forward are celebrated. This year was no different, multiple films were shown, however the two films that will always be remembered from this years' Cannes is Robert Pattinson's new phenomenon Cosmopolis & Kristen Stewart's epic movie On The Road.
We've all seen Robert and Kristen supporting each other whilst promoting Twilight, the subtle touches and especially the way they look at each other. Then just as we thought their relationship was going to stay hidden forever, along came Cannes, where we saw Rob walking the red carpet supporting Kristen as she alongside her castmates revealed On The Road. And not to be outdone, a few days later Kristen stepped out on the red carpet to support her beau Rob whilst he alongside his castmates revealed Cosmopolis to the waiting media.

David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis is Robert's second movie outside of the Twilight Franchise since its completion, which he plays the lead role of Eric Packer. It's clear to see how proud Rob is of this movie, whilst walking down the red carpet with his colleagues and David Croneberg he couldn't keep the smile off his face.
As they came closer toward the middle of the red carpet, the cameras zoned in on Kristen, just as Rob leaned down toward her as she whispered "You're amazing." to him as his head clearly rested against her shoulder. Cosmopolis was released in the UK during the middle of June, and I for one cannot wait until the DVD release.
As Cosmopolis gets ready to be released in NYC this week, it's clear to see that this movie is set to become one of the fastest selling movies of 2012. Rob himself has said his dream was to be acknowledged at Cannes Film Festival, he just expected it to happen later on in his career. For any of the media who think that Rob wouldn't be able to shake off the Twilight Saga, Cosmopolis should put any doubt at rest, because this movie is most definitely the polar opposite of Twilight, it shows Rob to be the serious actor he's always wanted to become.

Of course we all know that with every Cannes Film Festival ends with an after-party for each film shown to the media. With Robsten both having had films shown at Cannes it was anyone's guess which after-show party they would show up to first.
We weren't disappoint to discover Kristen's after-show party won out, Rob and Kristen were spotted being extremely intimate on the top balcony at the On The Road gathering.
It didn't take long for paparazzi to discover the usually coy couple getting ever so closer as they stood off to the corner away from everyone else on the balcony. What better opportunity did they have than to capture the moment, Robsten came out of hiding and admitted they were a couple.
They kissed. Every Twihard & Robsten fan screamed when they saw these images, ecstatic that their love was being shown publicly for the first time. This tender moment shows just how much love they have for each other. The moment Rob leant his head against Kristen's shoulder is a moment I will always remember. This one small gesture speaks a thousand words. He is and always will be devoted to Kristen Stewart.

The question, I'm sure on every Robsten fan's lips was "Would Rob be accompanying his love on the red carpet. Of course in true Robsten style, we were kept guessing until the very last minute when the camera's pulled back to reveal Rob in the crowd directly in front of Kristen.
This had every Twihard, and Robsten fan on the edge of their seats I'm sure, after nearly 5 years together, our favourite couple were stepping into the spotlight one another, in turn publicly declaring what the rest of us knew for years, they were a couple.
