Robert Pattinson Talks Cosmopolis & More
NEW  YORK - Robert Pattinson was nearing the end of shooting the last "Twilight" film, concluding a chapter in his life that had plucked him out of near obscurity and was preparing to spit him out... where exactly? "Twilight" had made him extravagantly famous, but his next steps were entirely uncertain.

"Out of the blue," he says came the script for "Cosmopolis" from David Cronenberg, the reversed Canadian director of psychological thrillers ("Videodrome," "Eastern Promises") that pursue the spirit through the body

Rob's Interview With LA Times

Rob talks to Amy Kaufman of the LA Times about fame saying:

Media culture is a monstrous thing. You can’t win. The annoying thing is that you can’t attack them, but you can’t defend yourself. The best thing you could possibly do is punch a paparazzi and give them their big payday.”

Later in the interview Conenberg reassures Rob that it wasn't Twilight that got him the part but rather the way he handled himself during its overnight success,

“The strength of the ‘Twilight’ movies is not the acting. But it’s not understood that doing ‘Twilight’ requires presence and professionalism. Are you saying this is an Academy Award performance, or Alec Guinness? That’s a whole other discussion. But you throw somebody on a grueling set like that — a normal person would be dead in an hour.”

The media love to portray Rob as this virginal vampire that can't act. It's obviously a sensitive subject for him because he puts so much thought into the character he plays that they become a part of him.

Warming to his own defense, Rob interjected: “With this movie people keep saying, ‘Is this gonna be the movie where he can prove he can act?’ It’s like, ‘What do you think I have been doing?’”
“By the way,” Cronenberg added, “he’s a British guy doing an American accent. People don’t realize that there are a lot of very good actors who cannot do accents, and they don’t give Rob credit for that.”
“Oh, give me anything!” Rob said with a laugh and taking a drag on his cigarette, which glowed an electronic red with each inhale.

On The Road

On The Road The Movie

On The Road Trailer

On The Road

On The Road is a film adaptation of the Jack Kerouac cult classic novel of the same name. It's a French-UK-US co production directed by Walter Salles and starring Sam Riley as Sal Paradise and Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty. Its Executive Producer is Francis Ford Cappola.

This is Kristen's first film since completing her commitments on the final Twilight Movie 'Breaking Dawn Part 2'. Earlier this year, On The Road was brought to Canne Film Festival, where it received a mixture of reviews, however the majority of them were extremely positive. Here is a brief summary I managed to find. Gotta tell you hard to find.

On The Road tells the provocative story of Sal Paradise, a young writer whose life is shaken and ultimately redefined by the arrival of Dean Moriarty, a free spirited, fearless, fast talking Westener, and his girl Mary Lou.

Together Sal and Dean travel across country in a quest for freedom from the conformity and conservatism engulfing them, in search of the unknown themselves, and in pursuit of "it" - the pure essence of experience. Seeking uncharted terrain and the last American frontier the duo encounter an eclectic mix of men and women. Bull, Camille, Carlo, Jane, Terry and Galatea, each adding meaning to their desire for a new way of life.

As a Kristen Stewart fanatic, having followed her career throughout the Twilight Saga, the role of Mary Lou is the polar opposite of Bella. If there was any doubt that Kristen wouldn't be able to shake off the Twilight tag 'On The Road' most definitely proves a lot of the critics wrong. Just as Rob said at this year's Comic Con, Kristen is one of those actresses that can audition for any role and be absolutely perfect for it.

On The Road At Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious events in an actor's career. To reveal the movie that you've put every part of yourself into. This was the first time that Kristen would be appearing at Cannes for her role as Mary Lou in 'On The Road'.

Usually one to shy away from public attention, Kristen openly admitted that she thought the reason why she wasn't nervous was because of who she would have standing next to her. It doesn't take a genius to know that the someone she's referring to is Rob. As she walked the red carpet with her 'On The Road' colleagues, Rob was present in the crowd looking proud of his beloved.

This movie is perfect for Kristen, the sheer enjoyment she had whilst filming shines through as she smiled for the cameras. It's a movie she's incredibly proud of and so she should be. 'On The Road' shows Kristen breaking away from the 'Twilight' tag, sometimes it's forgotten that Kristen was just 17 when she first started filming the Saga.
Like reported above, 'On The Road' received mixed yet positive reviews. Reviewers are one thing but the reviewers that count are the fans who gather in huge ticket lines to ensure they get the best seats to view this movie, not to mention the thousands of fans who camp outside just so they manage to get tickets to the films exclusive premiere,

Kristen Stewart started her acting career when she was just eight years old after she was spotted in her school Christmas Play. To date Kristen's most critically acclaimed may be in the television film "Speak". Kristen was just 13 years old at the time received great praise for playing the character who only had a few speaking lines, however kept a dark-witted commentary in her head throughout the film.

In 2005 Kristen appeared in the fantasy adventure film "Zathura" playing the role of Lisa the irresponsible older sister of two little boys who turn their house into a spacecraft hurtling uncontrollably in outer space by playing a board game. The film received praise from critics. The following year she played the character Maya in "Fierce People". After that role she was given the lead role of Jess Soloman in the supernatural thriller "The Messengers". In 2007 Kristen appeared as teenager Lucy Hardwicke in "In The Land Of Woman, a romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and OC star Adam Brody. The film received mixed reviews.

2008 - Present

In November 2007 Summit Entertainment announced that Kristen would take on the role of Isabella Swan in the film "Twilight" based on Stephanie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance novel with the same name. Kristen was on the set of  "Adventureland" when director Catherine Hardwicke visited her for an informal screen test which captivated the director.  Starring alongside Robert Pattinson as love interest Edward Cullen. Filming began production in November 2008. After Twilight's release Kristen received the MTV Award for Best Female Performance for her portrayal of Bella Swan.

Kristen reprised her role as Bella Swan in "New Moon", "Eclise", and "Breaking Dawn" The Twilight Saga has been the biggest selling movie of Kristen's career to date, with millions of Twihards worldwide. In 2009 Kristen starred in "The Runaways" alongside colleague Dakota Fanning.
In September 2011, Kristen made an appearance in Marcus Foster's music video "I Was Broken". Also in 2011 came the opportunity to play Snow White. The DVD is set to be released later this year.  Breaking Dawn Part 2 and On The Road are Kristen's latest films to be released. And she is currently the highest paid actress in Hollywood.

Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson

In 20o5 Robert Pattinson won the role of Cedric Diggory in the fourth installment of the J.K Rowling books Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It became abundantly clear that this young man had a lot of potential.  He may have only been young, but he captivated cinema viewers in an instant.

Other films under Rob's belt prior to his Twilight success are: "The Haunted Airman", "The Bad Mother's Handbook", "Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix" (flashback), "How To Be", and "The Summer House". On December 7th 2007 Summit Entertainment announced Robert had been cast as the main vampire Edward Cullen in Stephanie Meyer's worldwide phenomenon "Twilight" alongside his "secret" crush Kristen Stewart.

He revealed during one interview that it was Kristen's involvement which led to him auditioning for the role, having previously given thought to quitting acting completely.  Robert reprised his role for "New Moon", "Eclipse", and the current and final installment "Breaking Dawn".

During his time filming Twilight, Rob had other movie commitments that he fulfilled during the breaks in between movies.  These include: "Remember Me", "Unbound Captives", "Bel Ami", "Water For Elephants", and of course his most recent film which is released in the US later this year "Cosmopolis". Rob's achievements don't just revolve around movies, he's also an immensely talented musician, even recording a piece for the first "Twilight" soundtrack called "Never Think".  Just like his character Edward, Rob loves to play piano, however he is also a talented guitarist. Cosmopolis is set to become one of the biggest movie's from 2012, coming up to the promotional tour starting this Monday coming. His first interview will be with The Daily Show, closely followed by "Good Morning America" on Wednesday.
Robsten Movies Together

Once filming started on Twilight, it soon became obvious to every cast member that there was chemistry between the two young actors,, not only on screen but off screen. Pairing off into their own bubble. However they didn't get together officially until "New Moon", after Kristen was of legal age and of course single. Ever since then they have been inseparable, as the movies grew bigger so did their relationship. However they never revealed to anyone that they were in fact dating because they didn't want the media to hound them every chance they got.

The growing bond Rob and Kristen had became clear to the Twihards whilst the young couple began promoting each movie, the subtle touches between them were easy to spot. The smile on their faces every time they look at each other is where you truly see their feelings, it's like they are looking into each other's soul. When Breaking Dawn came along, it was so parralel with their own lives that most of the time on screen it looked like they were not even trying to act, it was all coming from the heart.  As the final installment Breaking Dawn Part 2 nears its release, the question every Twihard and Robsten fan want to know whether the couple will do other movies together. In my heart I know the answer to this question is yes.

Final Installment In The Twilight Saga

Breaking Dawn Part 2

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trailer

Breaking Dawn Part 2 released November 16th marks the final installment from the worldwide phenomenon. The movie begins where the last one ended, Bella opening her eyes to her new life as a vampire. Bill Condon's creation is outstanding, every little last detail being placed into the movie, and yet so much more than we would have expected. For the past 4 movies we've seen human Bella, the relationships she has with her family, especially her father Charlie and her friends, however this movie turns everything on its head as Bella becomes a newborn vampire.Follow our favourite vampire couple Bella & Edward Cullen (Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson) as they learn how to parent a half human/half vampire hybrid.

Isabella Marie Cullen

We've seen Bella as a human, watched as she struggled to maintain a balance between her destiny and who she is. Now as their forever is in reach, Bella must learn how to control her shield in order to defeat the Volturi. Along with her husband Edward and best friend Jacob Black, she must prove to family and friends that daughter Renesmee is not the immortal child she's been made out to be.

And of course who could forget the small detail of Jacob Black, (Taylor Lautner) imprinting on little Renesmee.. Bella always said she wished Jacob was family, however no one knew that it would happen through the birth of her daughter.

Bella has always been strong, she's needed to be with everything that she and husband Edward (Robert Pattinson) have been through to get where they are, on the verge of their happily ever after.

But before they start their happily ever after, they must gather friends and allies to vouch for Renesmee's growth after Irina spots her hunting with Jacob and mistakes her for an immortal child and instead of asking The Cullens about Renesmee, she instead makes her way to Volterra to inform the Volturi of this breech in the law.

Edward Anthony Masen Cullen

Edward Cullen has definitely been through a lot of emotions throughout the Twilight Saga. From first realising Bella was his mate, being terrified of hurting her, to now happily married with a beautiful little girl. With his wife now a vampire, no longer fragile, Edward has to learn how to not be so overprotective of his wife, even though its in a vampire's nature.

Before Bella's change we saw Edward finally come around to being a father once he heard his little girl's thoughts. Then as Bella was changing, he found out Jacob imprinted on her. How will he react to finding out his biggest enemy would one day become his son-in-law.

Just as everything settles into place, with Bella accepting Jacob as Renesmee's imprinter although reluctantly, Alice has her vision, the Volturi guard plus wives and witnesses are coming to destroy them.

Whilst Alice and Jasper head off alone in search of another hybrid to prove Renesmee's innocence, the remaining family head off to find friends to be witness to Renesmee's growth whilst awaiting the Volturi's visit.

Just after Christmas, the Volturi approach The Cullens with their own witnesses and Irina in tow. Of course once they arrived, Aro becomes determined to pin something on Carlisle because he's threatened by how big his family is. However once Irina sees Renesmee again she realises that she's made a terrible mistake, revealing to Aro that she was mistaken. Once Edward, Renesmee, Jacob and Emmett are within reach of Aro, this prompts Bella's shield to become active as she pushes it out to surround her loved ones, only pulling it back when Aro held out his hand for Edward to take.

I have been wanting to do one of these blogs for a while. I think they are the best way to get up to date information without having to trawl through all the media baloney. After recent events I decided that I wanted to create a blog dedicated to Rob Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, they have to be the most genuine, down to earth celebrities.I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I am going to enjoy creating it.
